Thus ends week 4....
I squeaked my second wind trainer session just in the nick of time...got an hour in and managed some drills and hills to break up the monotony. I think I have it figured out so that I don't get too bored either - all you have to do is turn the TV on mute (so that you don't get too caught up in any plot lines) and turn on some great music to keep your mind on the task at hand. I'm feeling a bit better, and I think that if I can get the swimming 2x a week integrated as well, I'll be doing fine. I'll save the start of the running thing for a bit yet...no point rushing it - although I talked with a friend of mine who also works at the group home, and he's looking for a running partner, so maybe I'll be able to run with him a couple of nights a week.
I've been going on basically no sleep all weekend and now have one of my classic "no sleep" headaches - wonderful! I also got asked to work tomorrow night - oh joy! LOL
Anyway...the eating thing today went fairly well. I managed to keep everything in line and am feeling pretty good. I had a quasi breakfast during my overnight shift which consisted of some stoned wheat thin crackers, a small bran muffin, and a granola bar. I got home and had a banana, then slept for about an hour, then got up, had a shower, then took off to Cochrane again, as one of the clients was having her birthday party. She's really come a long way in the last 8 months or so, and I was happy to go. I got home at about 4:30 or so, and had bought one of those cheapo do it yourself acrylic nail kits, so I decided to pamper myself and do my nails. They turned out great, and I'm glad I haven't lost what I learned from a friend of mine who taught me how to do them. After that, and some chicken for dinner, it was time to get on the bike. I did my hour (still gotta do those abs), but I'm still feeling good.
Total calories: 2296, Fat: 36% (14% saturated, 7% poly, 11% mono), Carbs: 44%, Protein: 21%. Things are still kosher (although the fat is a wee bit high today - must have been the grub at the birthday party that did that).
I'm off to do my abs and get some much needed sleep!!! G'night all!!
