Drum roll please...

Okay, I know it's only October 21st, but I had to post this a bit prematurely...I have now lost 10 lbs in about a month...weighed myself before I went to bed this morning, out of curiosity, and sure 'nuff...I've managed a 10 lb weight loss since I started this whole thing...let's just hope that I can keep it up...

So far today: Brekkie (the usual...mush), and an All Bran bar when I woke up...I have some ground turkey that I've thawed for dinner, and I may accompany it with some veggies and brown rice...just not sure what to do with the ground turkey...it may come to me...maybe turkey burgers would be nice.

More later...I was just so excited, I had to post something!!!

Okay...had the turkey burgers, some brown rice and veggies for supper...

Total calories: 1753, Fat 28% (6% sat, 8% poly, 10% mono), carbs: 53%, and protein: 19% (which I thought would have been higher given the turkey I ate for dinner! RATS!

It's going to be an interesting weekend - I have to work tonight, then go and do a course from 9:30 am to 3:30pm then back out to work - sleep, I'm thinking, won't be possible ....YECH!!

Wish me luck!!!

Hey way to go Kirsten!!! A great result for the first month -- wow.

I like your analogy of carrying a backpack around. The last time I did a backpacking trip, I carried about a 70 pound load, and I couldn't believe the extra effort it took even to walk on level ground. When we got to the campsite and I ditched the pack, I felt so light it was like I was dancing on the moon.

Here's looking forward to you experiencing the same thing!

10lbs! Congratulations. I admire your dedication to this! Keep me posted on your progress (and your take on the daily news, it's more fun reading it from you than watching it on TV)
