The train is back on track

I'm working this week out at the group home - so it's a bit of money at least. I still haven't heard back on any of the resumes that I've sent out - there are a bunch of them floating around these days...I keep telling myself the Law of Large Numbers will kick in eventually. Guess I'm just a bit down in the dumps these days again. I hate being unemployed (well, at least where I think I'll do the most good), and on top of that, I hate having to dip into my savings to try to keep ends meeting. I know there's a whole lot more people in the world who are struggling with more than just not being able to work. I look at New Orleans, the remnants of Hurricane Rita, the earthquake in Pakistan/India, the famine in Africa, unmentionable atrocities that befall anyone who has to endure crimes against humanity, and it kind of puts my perspective back into whack again.

Hopefully something will come up soon to put my mind at ease - let's hope anyway...

The day went something like this: one can of ensure for breakfast, an apple as a mid-morning snack, then salad and a banana for lunch, followed by some non-fat yogourt for a mid-afternoon snack. Dinner consisted of chicken, whole wheat spaghetti, and veggies.

Because of my whacked-out work schedule, I've curtailed the next goal until next week. I have a mammogram and ultrasound next week, as well as a mole removal...hopefully everything will be okay, and I can continue life as usual.
