Missed another one!!

and had a bit of an "oops" yesterday...I tried having a protein shake for a snack yesterday, and it totally blew my calorie count. I was only trying to get my protein levels up, but that may have been a mistake. The good news is that it may not have been quite as bad as it could have been, as I did an hour on my bike for a workout and did my abs, so I hopefully haven't done any damage.

It went something like this: breakfast was the standard oatmeal (yes...I'm able to eat breakfast at home again), then I had a protein shake mid-morning (which accounted for 434 calories), then had some ground beef and whole wheat spaghetti for lunch. Dinner was some corn, mashed potatoes, and ham.

Total calories: 3357 (ugh!) fat: 18% (5% sat, 3% poly, and 8% mono), carbs were 58% (yowsers! a bit high there!!) Protein: 24%.

I forgot to wish my sister a happy birthday yesterday...another oops...I'll try to rectify that today...

I'll update for today later on...

Okay, I've been called in to do another overnight awake shift...so I'll try to keep this brief before I have to go to yoga...eating today: breakfast was oatmeal, lunch was some leftover beef and spaghetti noodles, dinner was the leftover wraps from Gabriele's shower on Sunday (and they needed to be eaten)...I'm a bit short on my calorie count, so will be taking some yogourt and a banana to work tonight to stave off the munchies...hopefully I'll make it through.

Total calories: 1902, Fats: 25% (9% saturated, 3% poly, 11% mono), Carbs: 52% (finally got them under control again), Protein: 23%....seems to be the closest I've gotten to the 40/30/30 for a while...YAY!!!

Okay...off to yoga and then to work...abs are done, dog is fed, and I have no idea why I torture myself this way!!! Later...

Hey Kirsten. Finally had some time to look at your blog this week. Training is good!! I hate missing out on a run! I tried doing the spin thing at home last year and I found it really boring. Have to do it with a group to get me motivated! As for the calories ... cut down a bit on the carbs and up the protein .... seems to work for me ... hard to do as I just LOVE pasta and bread and stuff!! ttyl Diane
