Another day is done...
It's Sunday night, and I just got home from the wrap-up spin for the Tour d'Octobre that Janna and Ross organized. It was a ton of fun, and I really enjoyed myself (despite being a bit sleep and calorie deprived). I did about an hour and a quarter on the bike, and fooled everyone by showing up in my riding togs toting a saddle saying "where's the ride?", which I think got some laughs. It was a great evening and I had a blast!
I keep thinking of how lucky I am to have so many great friends and so many wonderful supporters on this little quest I'm on. It was great to see everyone again and to just mingle and people watch - and well worth missing some sleep over!
Eating today was a bit weird, as I slept until pretty much just before I left for the spin. I had an oatmeal bar at work last night at about 4 am, then came home to sleep. I didn't have time to make anything before the spin, so was basically spinning on an empty stomach. I had some stew, a bun, and one of Ross's decadent brownies and an apple cranberry tart for dessert along with a beer and a small glass of wine. So....my totals are a bit screwy, and hopefully I haven't done any serious damage.
Total calories: 1465 Fat: 27% (6% sat, 7% poly, 12% mono) Carbs: 51% and protein: 11%. I really have to get that protein thing up again - but there's always tomorrow - think I'll start the day off with a protein shake for breakfast on the way out to work. That should do the trick.
Anyway, I'm beat - just have to do my abs and then crash for the night again...A huge thanks to Janna and Ross for getting me back into training mode and for organizing a great month worth of training and comeraderie! G'night all...
